Residents of Wayanad district, Kerala, have been facing the most powerful hailstorm in the history of region for over 25 years. According to The News Minute, the impact was most severe in and around Sulthan Bathery area.

For over a week now, the region has been experiencing mild hailstorm and rain. But on Monday, the situation escalated when blobs of hard ice started hitting the streets and the roofs of the houses. The ice, which had saturated on roads and buildings, only began melting by Tuesday afternoon.

While many were stranded in their homes, Millenials still found a way to cheer themselves up by taking scores of photos and uploading them on social media.
