Even as the safety of app-based cab services have been debated, another case of molestation by an Ola cab driver is being reported from Mumbai.

The Hindustan Times reports that the Shadabh Mohommad Ibrahim Shaikh, a resident of Mumbai's Ghatkopar, was arrested on Thursday night for molesting a 32-year-old woman from Sewri.

The arrest was made by police from the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Marg Police in connection with the incident that took place on April 10.

The woman was going to pick her son up from school when she was forced to sit in the cab by the driver.

A police officer told The Hindustan Times, "Once the woman sat next to him, the driver pounced on her and asked her to be his friend. He insisted that she give him her mobile number and even snatched her phone. When the woman resisted, Shaikh started the car. She tried to raise the alarm, but realised that he had locked all the doors and rolled up the windows."

The newspaper reported that while she tried to take control of the steering wheel of the car, he overpowered her and only stopped the car when he realised she may jump out.

This is not the first incident of molestation by an Ola cab driver. Last year, two Ola drivers were arrested within the matter of one week -- one in Delhi and one in Mumbai -- on charges of molesting women passengers.

First Delhi police had arrested an Ola driver for molesting a 23-year-old Belgian woman in the national capital. A spokesperson from Ola had said that he had been terminated from the platform and that they had "zero tolerance to such behaviour".

Within a couple of days another Ola driver was arrested in Mumbai for molesting and stalking a 30-year-old woman for several days after she had hired the cab.
