In a shocking breach of privacy, the personal details over one millions Aadhaar subscribers were leaked on a website run by the Jharkhand Directorate of Social Security. Personal details such as name and bank account number were revealed for a bulk of these users, deepening the existing worries about safety feature in Aadhaar cards.

Last week singer Sonu Nigam stirred a storm in a teacup by ranting against the broadcast of azaan. Just when the controversy was dying down, the singer on Sunday morning posted yet a video of the azaan on Twitter with just the comment, "Goodmorning India (sic)". During the meeting, Palanisamy assured the farmers of his help and said that he will request PM Modi for the loan waiver.

The BJP could be headed for a landslide victory in the Delhi municipal polls with two exit polls predicting the party finishing way ahead of the AAP and the Congress with over 200 of the 270 wards where polling was held on Sunday.

The Baiga tribe from Chhattisgarh are fighting to scrap the 38-year-old order passed by (erstwhile) Madhya Pradesh in 1979, which bars them from undergoing birth control operations. Because the tribe falls under the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG), they are reportedly denied to make free and informed reproductive choices, because the order was passed at a time when the state followed an "aggressive target based population policy".

PM Modi wished former South Africa cricketer Jonty Rhodes' daughter, named 'India', on her second birthday. Rhodes had named his daughter India in April 2015 because it was her 'land of birth'. Tagging Rhodes in a tweet, Modi said, "Happy birthday to India, from India."

To commemorate his 88th birth anniversary, Google on Monday honoured the late Kannada superstar Rajkumar with a special doodle which features the veteran actor staring at audiences from a movie screen. He was a cult actor in the Kannada film industry and was beloved for his philanthropic zeal as well. A recipient of Padma Bhushan and Dada Saheb Phalke Award, he passed away in 2006.

Anil Padmanabhan in Mint explains why the strike by drivers for cab aggregators such as Ola and Uber fizzled out after only a few days. "Part of the reason is that the assets in the business of taxi services in the share economy are not owned by the aggregator; instead, it is owned by the driver—effectively transforming them into micro entrepreneurs... So, while it was relatively easy to lay siege to the asset owned by the mill owner in the event of a textile strike, it is not true of taxi drivers working for an aggregator," he writes.
