Close on the heels of the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8, LG has unveiled the flagship G6 smartphone in India. The phone is priced at ₹51,990.

The LG G6, which was launched in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, is a departure from the earlier LG G5's modular design. Instead, the company went back to the drawing board and came up with a smartphone with a near bezel-less 5.7-inch 'TrueVision' display. The phone screen has an aspect ratio of 18:9 with Dolby Vision and HDR support. It also has IP68 rating, which means it is dust-proof and waterproof.

The South Korean phonemaker has made an interesting choice of processor, opting for Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 instead of the latest Snapdragon 835. Despite the latter being more faster and power efficient. The LG G6 has 4 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and a battery capacity of 3,300 mAh with Qualcomm Quick charge 3.0 support through USB C port. It comes with Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box and the Google personal AI Assistant.

In the rear, the LG G6 sports dual 13 MP cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture. In the front, the device has a 5 MP shooter.

The G6 is considerably lighter on the pocket than the S8. LG is launching the flagship smartphone exclusively with Amazon. Samsung has chosen Flipkart as a partner for the sale of Galaxy S8 and S8+. The company is offering massive cashback for HDFC and SBI card holders as well.
