After the tremendous success of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, phonemaker OnePlus is ready with its next flagship smartphone. Going by the latest leaks, it is all but confirmed that the device will be named OnePlus 5.

Tech blog WinFuture's Ronald Quandt tweeted out the network information that OnePlus has filed with Chinese regulators.

Yep, that OnePlus A5000 is real. Guess this really is the OnePlus 5. (seen at MIIT, Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) pic.twitter.com/JMHfGK6D4s

OnePlus 5 will most likely come with Qualcomm's latest processor Snapdragon 835. Some rumors suggest that the phone will have a 5.5-inch QHD display. Additionally, the company might ramp up the RAM to 8 GB from 6 GB.

There has also been talk of dual 23 MP cameras with OIS on the rear. Going with the current trend, OnePlus might also ditch the front fingerprint sensor for more screen space. The battery capacity is rumored to be 3,000 mAh, which if true would be strange because OnePlus 3T had a 3,400 mAh battery.

OnePlus 5 is likely to be launched in Q2 2017.
