Reliance Jio announced its new Dhan Dhana Dhan plan today. The new plan is a tweaked version of the telecom provider's Summer Surprise offer. Under the new plan, the Jio Prime customer will get free voice and SMS, along with 1 GB of free data per day for three months at ₹309, instead of the earlier price of ₹303.
Last week, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had asked Jio to withdraw its Summer Surprise offer and the network provider had agreed to discontinue the offer "as soon as possible operationally." The plan was pulled from the website yesterday.
Jio also announced a second plan which costs ₹509 and provides 2 GB data daily. This plan was priced at ₹499 in the Summer Surprise offer.
Earlier, India's biggest network provider Airtel had complained that Jio had not given a definite date when it would comply with TRAI's directive and scrap its Summer Surprise offer.
