The National Awards, often considered the gold standard for award ceremonies in India, were announced earlier today.
And while there were some deserving winners, some choices were admittedly quite surprising.
This year, the jury was headed by filmmaker Priyadarshan, known for making films like Hera Pheri, BhoolBhulaiya, and Garam Masala.
