A 20-year-old woman was arrested and a case was registered against another minior girl, for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl for three months inside a Delhi school.
The Indian Express reports that the case came to light when the girl revealed to her parents that she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by the two inside her school premises.
The report said that cases had been registered under sections 328 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act. The minor accused, according to the police, still needs to be questioned.
The 20-year-old, who is the prime accused in the case, is said to be a student of Class IX who has failed in the same class thrice.
The police told The Indian Express, "In her statement, she alleged that two girls used to take her to a vacant room during lunch time and take off her clothes as well as theirs. She said they touched her inappropriately."
The girl also alleged that sometimes they would the two would sometimes giver her something to drink or prick her with a needle after which she would get drowsy, which could mean that she was drugged.
The school has denied all of this.
