Nokia has finally relaunched the legendary 3310 phone. The phone which was originally released in 2000 has made its comeback in a new colorful form. The Finnish company made the announcement at Mobile World Congress being held in Barcelona. It will be manufactured by HMD Global.
The phone has a color screen instead of the monochromatic display of old. Additionally, the size of the display is bigger as well. The body is made out of plastic but there are many colorful options to choose from.
The phone is running series 30+ software. It has a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a 2-megapixel camera. It has even a microSD slot supporting up to 32 GB of storage.. And most importantly it has the Snake game! The company claims that the new 3310 has a standby time of 25 days and the talk time of 22 hours. The battery size of the phone is 1200 mAh and the weight is 79.6 grams.
The phone comes bundled with opera mini browser for basic internet surfing. It will be available in the second quarter of the year at $52. The phone will have both single and dual SIM options with mini SIM.
This is Nokia's move to bring back nostalgia to the old fans while stepping into the new era. The company launched three Android phones along with Nokia 3310. Most of the new age users wouldn't have owned a Nokia phone. So this reboot is to make them experience the dominant force the company was in the feature phone era.
Additionally, a lot of fans would like to have a reliable secondary Nokia phone to accompany their smartphones. A reliable phone would be the fancy of a lot of customers.
