On Wednesday, India's space agency ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) created history by launching 104 satellites successfully into orbit. By doing so, ISRO has created a world record, bettering the Russian space agency's 37-satellite launch of 2014.
The PSLV C37 rocket was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 9:28 am carrying a payload of 104 satellites from six countries, including India. The satellites will be operative at a sun-synchronous orbital height of 505 km. The Indian payload comprised the Cartosat 2 Series weather satellite and two nano satellites, INS-1A and INS-1B.
