Egypt's Eman Ahmed, believed to be the world's heaviest woman weighing close to 500 kg, has arrived in Mumbai for a surgery that could potentially save her life.
The 36-year-old, who is now settled at the Saifee Hospital in the city for at least the next six months, has been keeping busy by watching Bollywood films.
Even though she doesn't understand Hindi, she is finding actor Salman Khan's movies the most entertaining, said a Mid-Day report.
Dr Muffazal Lakdawala, the Mumbai-based bariatric surgeon who's handling her case, told Mid-Day:
"...When I asked which actor she liked the most, she pointed at the three Khans. When I asked of the three who's her favourite, she said, Salman Khan."
Salman Khan's father, the noted screenwriter Salim Khan, has gone on record to say that Salman would be more than happy to meet her. He said:
"We have learnt of her desire. Salman will certainly meet her. An actor would to go to any lengths to fulfil the desire of such a patient. But so far, we haven't received any official request from the hospital. As soon as we receive one, Salman will go meet her."
According to The Quint, Dr Lakdawala will send an official message to Salman very soon.
Ahmed reportedly gained weight suddenly when she was 11 years old and suffered a stroke. She has been bedridden and unable to leave home since then.
Of late, Salman has been meeting some fans on special request. Last month, he met his Palestinian fans at a five-star hotel away from the paparazzi. Earlier he met a Pakistani admirer, who had come to India for a liver transplant and had expressed a desire to meet his 'idol'.
