Speaking to Times Now, Swamy said that the governor should administer the oath to Palanisamy unless Panneerselvam can produce a list of MLAs with signatures. "Governor flouting the Constitution," he said.

Times Now is reporting that Palanisamy has handed over a list of 124 MLAs to the governor, and staked claim to form the government.

5:05 pm: AIADMK leaders stopped from visiting the Golden Bay resort

NDTV is reporting that the police has stopped a convoy of AIADMK supporters from visiting the resort where Sasikala has sequestered 120 legislators.

4:50 pm: Jayalalithaa's Niece Welcomes SC Verdict

Deepa Jayakumar, Amma's niece who has come to the limelight after the death of the former chief minister, welcomed the Supreme Court verdict convicting Sasikala.

4:48 pm: Sasikala Unlikely To Surrender Today

Television reports suggest that AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala is not likely to surrender today. She was convicted by the Supreme Court on Tuesday morning and was asked to surrender immediately.

NDTV quoted sources as saying that her lawyers have said that they have not yet received the copy of the court order. Sources have also said that her lawyers may seek more time for her to surrender.

3:55 pm: Sasikala Camp To Meet Governor At 5:30 pm

Even as MLAs of the O Panneerselvam faction headed back to Chennai after they were stopped on the highway by the police, NDTV reports that MLAs in support of Sasikala will be meeting the Governor at 5:30 pm.

3:00 pm: Sasikala Expells 20 MLAs Loyal To Panneerselvam

While 19 MLAs who were loyal to acting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam were expelled as primary members of the party, reports suggest that 12 MPs and 8 MLAs who have were backing him have been spared.

The Times Of India quoted Sasikala as saying, "The expelled members have violated party principles and brought disrepute."

Supporters of O Panneerselvam who were on their way to the Golden Bay Resort were stopped by the police on the highway, reports NDTV.

The supporters wanted to meet MLAs in the Sasikala faction, asking them to unite for the sake of Amma's legacy.

Acting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam has now appealed to the MLAs to bury the hatchet and take the right decision. He also promised good governance. The New Indian Express tweeted:

OPS also said that Amma's schemes were on track and he requested the MLAs to unite for Amma.

12:36 pm: It Is A Fatty Judgement, Says Justice Pinaki Bose

Setting aside the Karnataka high court judgement, the Supreme Court upheld the entire judgement of the trial court.

Justice Pinaki Bose was quoted by NDTV as saying, "It is a fatty judgement, we will read out the conclusion."

The Sasikala camp is likely to stake claim for forming government after electing a new Legislative Party leader.

12:20 pm: Will One Of The MLAs In Sasikala Camp Be Elected As Legislative Party Leader?

The police have gone inside the Golden Bay Resort, but the arrest has still not happened because of the meeting Sasikala is holding with her MLAs.

The New Indian Express reports that Health Min C Vijaya Baskar as claiming that 125 MLAs are with Sasikala and that one of them would be elected as legislature party leader.

It seems to be only good news for the OPS camp since morning. After the verdict that convicted Sasikala and stopped her from coming to power, two MLAs, from Maylapore and Mettupalayam, seem to have switched sides according to Times Now.

NDTV reports that 11 MLAs are in conversation with the OPS camp.

11:35 am: DMK's Stalin Hails Supreme Court Verdict

Hailing the Supreme Court verdict, DMK's Stalin has said, "Verdict shows MLAs should not indulge in corruption in public life."

"Governor should take immediate steps to form a stable government in TN as per constitution," he said.

11:30 am: OPS Supporters Celebrate

As Sasikala waits for her imminent arrest, it is celebrations outside the home of acting Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu O Panneerselvam.

His supporters were seen dancing, bursting crackers and distributing sweets:

A massive security cover is seen outside Golden Bay Resort near Chennai where the police have gone in to arrest Sasikala. The resort is located near Chennai.

While Sasikala had earlier requested her followers to remain calm, the police have taken precautions against any emergency.

The Supreme Court has convicted Sasikala in the disproportionate assets case, which means that she will not be able to become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

NDTV reports that she has been asked to surrender immediately. She has been sent to four years in prison and she cannot contest elections for the next 10 years.

As pointed out by HuffPost India Senior Editor in an explainer, while charges against a deaces Jayalalithaa would abate under the provisions stated under Section 394 of the Criminal Procedure Code, it won't insure Sasikala from facing the law.

10:00 am: Mettur MLA back OPS, Sasikala At Chennai Resort

NDTV is reporting that AIADMK MLA from Mettur, Semmalai, has backed acting Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu O Panneerselvam.

Meanwhile, Sasikala seems to have reached the resort with the MLAs who are allegedly supporting her.

M. Thambidurai, a senior AIADMK leader, has also reached the resort to meet the party general secretary.

9:50 am: Heavy Security In Poes Garden, Golden Bay Resort

Tuesday morning saw heavy security deployment in Chennai as the Supreme Court is going to pronounce its verdict on Sasikala in the DA case.

NDTV reported that more than 15,000 police personnel have been mobilised to ensure things remains calm.

But will the verdict be the end of the power tussle that Tamil Nadu has seen in the months after the death of Jayalalithaa? We will find out during the course of the day.

9:00 am: Judgement Day For Sasikala

The Supreme Court verdict in the disproportionate assets case will have a direct implication on Sasikala's politcal future as she is embroiled in a battle with Panneerselvam over the chief minister's chair.

Justices P C Ghose and Amitava Roy, will pass its order appeals, including the one filed by the Karnataka government acquitting the main accused in the case, former Tamil Nadu chief minister the late J Jayalalithaa and three others, including Sasikala.

If Sasikala is convicted, she will be ineligible for contesting Assembly polls.

8.30 am: Panneerselvam Orders Security Off MLAS

It was reported on Monday, that acting Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who got back to office after a gap of one week, ordered that no security be provided to the MLAs who are at the resort and are likely to support Sasikala.
