A letter written to Tamil Nadu governor Vidyasagar Rao threatening him to quickly decide on the issue of making AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala the new state chief minister is reported to be fake. A series of tweets from the official handle of the party alleged that the contents of the letter are fake and was never written by Sasikala.
The letter reportedly says, "Sir you are taking your time, and not making me the Chief Minister. As a result the MLAs, I have imprisoned are joining OPS (O Panneerselvam) one by one. I can be patient only to a certain extent. If you take more time, I will kill myself and say in writing that you were responsible for my death."
The party general secretary alleged that it was created "by miscreants with malicious intentions to disrupt the law and order situations."
"The same group which went against Amma is now attacking us," she alleged, adding that "tiding rough sea (sic) has taken the party to success. "I am not scared of such threats."
Comparing the present crisis in the AIADMK similar to problems during Jayalalithaa's reign, she claimed that the AIADMK government would continue in the state.
"AIADMK government will continue for the next four-and-a-half years," she told journalists on Sunday. "I can say this as party General Secretary."
