"Caste, state, language or religion is not relevant for me."

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj recently shut down Hindu Jagran Sangha, a right group, which complained about her to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that she helped out Muslims and not Hindus.

Swaraj, the group said in a tweet to Modi, "Only take care Of Muslim Visa. But Hindus are getting harrased to get India Visa. VERY UPSET."

"India is my country. Indians are my people. The caste, state, language or religion is not relevant for me," responded Swaraj.

Since the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in May 2014, Modi has been at the helm of driving India's foreign policy, often sidelining Swaraj. But the 64-year-old leader has gained a reputation of being a foreign minister who quickly follows up on grievances communicated to her, very often through social media platforms such as Twitter.
