Spot What's Odd In This Photo Of Coal Min Piyush Goyal Meeting His Saudi Counterpart

Uh oh.

Trust the Internet to never miss a thing.

When the Union Minister Piyush Goyal met his counterpart in Abu Dhabi last week, they posed for the shutterbugs, like usual. On a table next to them, two flags were kept next to each other. One of India's, and the other of Saudi Arabia's. What they missed, the Internet noticed.

Take a look at the picture here. Do you see what's wrong?

The Indian flag is seen upside down in the photograph--with the green at top and the saffron down.

Redditors have now started a thread discussing whether External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will expel the coal minister or not.

Recently, Swaraj demanded an apology from e-commerce giant Amazon for selling a door mat with the Indian flag imprinted on it. She also warned that no Amazon representative would be granted visa if the product was not delisted from their site.

Shaktikanta Das, the economic affairs secretary who became the public voice of the government on demonetisation tweeted, "Amazon, better behave." Amazon got into major trouble and eventually had to apologise for their "un-Indian" products.

On social media, people are wondering why Goyal didn't notice the flag. But guess what? Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in the same spot only two years ago.

In 2015, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, the Indian flag was hoisted upside down.

"It was an inadvertent mistake in the rush of things. It was unfortunate," official sources requesting anonymity had then told PTI.
