All this while, cow's urine was considered to be a precious commodity. In fact, Baba Ramdev has just launched floor cleaner with gau mutra as one of the ingredients. But, it seems, that's not enough to make the country aware of the importance of cows.

So, in the battle to prove that cows are very, very important to the humankind, the world and the ecology, Rajasthan's Education Minister Vasudev Devnani has said that they inhale and exhale oxygen. In fact, they are the ONLY animals to have this superpower.

At an event organised by Akshay Patra foundation in Jaipur on Saturday, the minister was explaining the 'scientific importance' of cows, reports Indian Express.

"Gai ekmatra prani hai jo oxygen grahan karta hai, aur oxygen his chodta hai (The cow is the only animal that takes in oxygen and also releases oxygen)," he said.

Devnani also said that he wants this message to reach to people.

So, we checked. Turns out, you have that superpower too.

The lungs of any animal are not efficient in delivering all oxygen from the inhaled air. So, all of us, and the cows exhale the unused oxygen along with carbon di-oxide. Other than plants and mosses that photosynthesise, there is no living being that exhales oxygen.

Tch tch.
