A Man's Request To Sushma Swaraj To Get His Wife Transferred To His City Totally Backfired

She didn't end their 'banwas'.

Sushma Swaraj is a star minister on Twitter.

She helps people when they lose their passports and pulls off massive rescue operations and even keeps us updated on it.

She once helped a newly-wed man unite with his wife who had lost her passport just before the couple were leaving for their honeymoon.

In fact, she is so helpful, once a man thought it was okay to ask her for help when his refrigerator stopped working. But, despite all the random pleas for help, Swaraj never lost her cool.

But, it's not easy to be polite all the time, especially when the External Affairs Minister has to deal with so many requests.

So, on Sunday, when a man tweeted to the minister, seeking a transfer of his wife who work in the Railway department in Jhansi, she wasn't quite pleased.

In response, the usually polite Swaraj said that she would have ordered suspension for making the request on social media, if she worked in her department.

However, Swaraj sent the tweet to Railways minister Suresh Prabhu, who promptly responded by saying he didn't handle transfers, but that he'd asked the Chairman of the Railway Board to "take suitable action as per rules."

Just before Swaraj decided to not play the banwas ender for this couple, she had played cupid yet again.

A US-based man on Saturday had tweeted to the minister lamenting over the fact that he was forced to live abroad without his wife because of passport issues. The man asked her to help his wife with her passport so that she could move to the US and live with him

To this, Swaraj responded with a bit of good-natured humour, tagging DM Mulay, the Secretary of CPV and Overseas lndian Affairs, to the tweet and asking him to help end the couple's "banwas".

Ohh ! This banwas should end soon. @CPVIndiahttps://t.co/w4cqRYTMis

We aren't sure why Sawarj lost it, but Twitter wasn't quite happy with her.

Banwas or not, we just hope this man's wife who work at the Railway department doesn't lose her job.
