41 Delhi-Bound Trains Delayed, 14 Trains Rescheduled Because Of Bad Weather Conditions

NEW DELHI -- Cold conditions continued to prevail in the national capital, a day after the city received its first spell of winter rains, even as sunshine in the afternoon brought some comfort from the inclement weather.

Bad weather and poor visibility in the morning led to delay of 41 Delhi-bound trains, rescheduling of 14 and cancellation of 5, a railway official said.

However, no flight operations were delayed.

"The maximum temperature was recorded at 16 degrees Celsius, three notches below the normal while the minimum settled at 11 degrees Celsius, five notches above the normal," a MeT official said.

On Saturday, the city saw a low of 13.5 degrees Celsius, with rains adding to the chill in the air.

"Traces of rainfall were recorded till 8:30 am today and the relative humidity level in the morning oscillated between 91 and 98 per cent," he said.

The weatherman has forecast a partly cloudy sky with mist/ shallow fog for Monday.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 16 and 12 degrees Celsius," the official said.
