And it looked gorgeous.

When one thinks of Christmas, one thinks of a fireplace, snow and a big lit up Christmas tree. While in India Christmas isn't exactly snowy, Himachal Pradesh was in for a Christmas treat when it snowed on Sunday.

Shimla, the state's capital, received the season's first snowfall on Christmas morning. While Kufri was covered in snow, Kinnaur too received the first snowfall of this season.

ANI had also reported that vehicular movement on the NH5 highway was affected because of the snowfall.

However, photos and videos were proof that if in any part of India it looked like Christmas day, it was Himachal Pradesh.

In this ANI video, people can be heard cheering and screaming during the snowfall:

And while traffic may have been affected, NH5 look spectacularly gorgeous:

Look at how pretty Kinnaur looks:

Everybody was happy:

Looks like it was indeed a merry Christmas for the tourists and residents of Himachal Pradesh.
