Across the globe, everyone is fed up with traffic. The number of cars and other vehicles on our roads is exploding even as we build more and more roads and highways. Among those who have had enough of cars is the pioneering entrepreneur and billionaire, Elon Musk. So, Musk being Musk, said in a set of Tweets that that he will set up "The Boring Company" to tunnel under the surface of the earth to try and divert some of that vehicular traffic.

Musk, who is generally quirky on Twitter, made some 'boring' puns in his tweets, but sounded serious enough about his tunnel venture.

Traffic is driving me nuts. Am going to build a tunnel boring machine and just start digging...

I am actually going to do this

Later, he even changed his Twitter bio and added 'Tunnels' to the list of Space X, Tesla and Open AI.

One possibility is that the tunnels in question are meant as passages for the passenger or cargo capsules to be transported via the Hyperloop -- a concept that Musk presented in 2012. We certainly need to dig deeper into this.
