Songwriter extraordinaire Taylor Swift and former One Directioner Zayn Malik have revealed a project they’d secretly been working on: writing the theme to “Fifty Shades Darker.”

The breathy new track, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” will appear in the second installment of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise, starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

Swift and Malik shared the news over their social media accounts late Thursday night, including a snippet:

Following the news of Swift’s first 2016 release as a vocalist, fans promptly went into overdrive. The song, written by Swift and Fun’s Jack Antonoff with melodramatic lines including “I don’t wanna live forever / ‘Cause I know I’ll be living in pain,” quickly shot to the top of iTunes’ charts.

Although she hasn’t released much since her 2014 album “1989,” Swift hasn’t been letting her legendary songwriting skills go. In July, it was confirmed that the pop star had actually written former boyfriend Calvin Harris’ hit “This Is What You Came For,” and the country group Little Big Town debuted a Swift-penned single last month.

”Fifty Shades Darker” hits theaters Feb. 10. “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” is available now.
