Amid all the protests and ruckus inside the Lok Sabha, which continued on Friday despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi's presence, the Lower House of the Parliament saw some lighter moments as well.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Virendra Singh was heard comparing the Opposition parties' protests to a wrestling bout.

"No MP can defeat me in wrestling but the way the Opposition is playing kushti in the Parliament and disrupting the House is not done," said Singh, who is the sitting MP from Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh, evoking giggles in the House.

"I would have taught them wrestling in the last one week in which they have not allowed the House to function," a mildly peeved Singh added.

Singh also urged the Sports Minister to start a wrestling championship for Lok Sabha MPs.

In response, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Vijay Goel remarked, "Inki kushti alag hi hai (Their wrestling is totally different)."

These remarks were made during the Question Hour when the House was discussing an issue related to sports facilities in schools.

Opposition parties have been protesting the government's demonetisation move and have been insisting on Prime Minister Modi's presence in the Lok Sabha.
