Veteran Congress Leader Ram Naresh Yadav Dies After Prolonged Illness

Yadav also served as the Madhya Pradesh Governor from 26 August, 2011 to 7 September, 2016.

BHOPAL -- Former Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav passed away on Tuesday at a hospital in Lucknow after prolonged illness.

Yadav (90) breathed his last at PGI Lucknow on Tuesday morning, an official said.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Public Relations and Water Resources Minister, Narottam Mishra have expressed grief over the demise of Yadav.

Yadav served as the Madhya Pradesh Governor from 26 August, 2011 to 7 September, 2016. The veteran Congress leader was also Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister from 1977-79.
