Even as controversial Republican candidate Donald Trump's win at the US elections caught many by surprise, there was someone in India who had foreseen the future.
Chanakya III, the ornamental flowerhorn fish from Chennai, had 'predicted' that Trump, and not Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, would be United States' 45th President.
According to a report in The New Indian Express, at an event organised by an NGO in Chennai, the fish had 'predicted' America's future.
Chanakya picked the winner in the following manner:
Two containers of fish food were floated on in water tank with a photo of Clinton and Trump pasted on it. The fish clearly seemed to favour the Trump container, which, according to reports is how it 'predicts' the outcome of any event.
NDTV reported that the fish had correctly guessed all the final matches at the FIFA Football World Cup 2014 as well.
Earlier this week, a monkey from China had also predicted that Trump would be the one to get to go to White House, reported The Times of India.
On Wednesday, Trump defeated Democratic nominee and former Secretary of State Clinton in a tight race for the American presidency.
