After the launch of the beautifully designed Redmi Note 2 and the Mi Mix, Xiaomi is set to reveal a new smartphone in the budget range called Xioami Redmi 4. Rumors are that the company will also be launching a lower end variant, called Redmi 4A.
The leak on the Chinese communication app Weibo appeared to give out the launch date along with a teaser photo. Earlier reports had suggested that the phone will be sporting a 5 inch full HD screen. The Redmi 4 could either be running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor or MediaTek's H10 Helios deca-core chip with 3 GB of RAM.
It will have a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, an impressive battery capacity of 4100 mAh and a 32 GB internal memory with an expansion slot. Sales of the earlier generation of Xiaomi phones were boosted in India by the fact that they carry a big battery.
The lower-end variant, Redmi 4A, will be running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with 2 GB of RAM. The phone's design will be similar to Redmi 4, but it will have a 720p display and 16 GB of internal storage. The battery capacity is likely to be 3000 mAh. Both the phones will have fingerprint sensors at the back.
Xiaomi recently launched an upgraded air purifier, called the Mi Air Purifier Pro which covers a bigger area and has a built-in LED sensor to display the PM2.5 level in the room. The new version has a better clean air delivery rate of 500-metre cube per hour as well.
