The Indian Army has reportedly handed over several videos and other evidence of the surgical strikes to the Indian government, according to multiple reports, and top Army officers are reportedly keen that they should be made public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The veracity of the attack, carried out by the Indian Army at alleged terrorist camps at the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on 29 September, has been questioned by foreign media, as well as some Indian political leaders.

According to a report in NDTV, the Army had, in fact, submitted the graphic visuals from the attack to the Government last week and had asked them to take a final call on whether the content should be made public.

Now, sources have told The Times of India that the Army is keen to make the video footage public, to lay to rest the doubts and suspicions from across the border, as well as from opposing political parties to rest--"once and for all".

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam had accused the BJP of indulging in politics over national interest and called the surgical strikes on terror camps as fake. P Chidambaram had also reportedly said it was up to the government to give proof of the surgical strikes in which seven terror launch pads in PoK were destroyed by the Army.
