If leaks by several carriers and websites are to be believed, both the Pixel phones to be launched by Google this week, would be running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip inside. The leaks have given away a lot of details about the phones.
Some of the Canadian carriers leaked the renders of Pixel and Pixel XL phones in both Black and White colours.
While the smaller Pixel phone will have a 5-inch full HD display, the Pixel XL would sport a 5.5-inch QHD display. Both the phones would be sporting a 4 GB RAM. The rear camera for both the phones would sport a 12 MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture and the front camera will have a 8 MP sensor.
According to a listing spotted by Android Police, the Pixel would have a battery capacity of 2700 mAh, and Pixel XL of 3450 mAh. Both the phones would have a USB C port with fast charging capabilities.
The listing also suggests a bunch of features which would be exclusive to the phones, including unlimited photo storage at full resolution in Google Photos. The new flagship phones would launch with Android 7.1 Nougat which would have newly launched apps Allo and Duo. It would also feature a new launcher by Google with new navigation buttons.
There would be a heavy focus on machine learning. Google Assistant would be taking the place of Google Now. Google seems to be taking a new approach towards smartphones with these new phones. It is also expected that there are a bunch of other products, including Google Home, a 4K Chromecast, and even a tablet, would be launched at the Google event.
