Last night Apple unveiled their newest flagship iPhone 7 in the US. The much awaited September event saw iPhone 7, iPhone 7 plus and Apple Watch series 2 being revealed.

However, India is not one of the first countries to get hands-on with the phone yet. Indian consumers have to wait until 7 October when iPhone 7 will be launched in India. And the company has stated that the pricing for iPhone 7 will start from ₹60000. All the variants of the phones will be available in India though.

The new iPhone which is dust and water resistant will be available in Silver, Gold, Rose gold, and the new black variants. iPhone 7 has replaced the physical home button with a pressure sensitive solid state button with haptic feedback. With a new processor under the hood, iPhone 7 is more powerful. The company claims that it has 2 hours of battery life more over iPhone 6s. And the iPhone 7 plus has an extra hour of battery life over iPhone 6s.

The phone has better audio quality with new stereo speakers which are at the top and bottom of the phone. Apart from that, the camera has been improved with a new 12 MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture. iPhone 7 has a new dual camera setup for better depth and zoom for taking photos.

The front camera has received a hardware upgrade with 7 MP sensor gracing the spot with image stabilization.

iPhone 7 has ditched the headphone jack in the favor of lightning port connected headphones. Apple will be bundling a pair of lightning port earphones as well as a connector in the iPhone 7 box. The cost of those two sold separately would be ₹2500 and ₹900.

Along with these, Apple revealed the new wireless earphones called Airpods which work with iPhone, iPad or even Mac wirelessly. The cost of those is whooping ₹15400.
