The Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police, Javeed Ahmad, is a brave, brave man. On Sunday, the police chief decided to test a taser gun on himself to understand how the weapon can incapacitate a law evader.
In a video tweeted by the the Uttar Pradesh handle of ANI, the cop is seen stiffening up as soon as he was shot, while his colleagues hold his hands to break his fall.
Taser gun is an electroshock weapon which fires dart-like electrodes at the target. Due to electric shock the target suffers neuromuscular incapacitation resulting in temporary immobility.
It must have been an unpleasant experience. But thankfully the taser left his sense of humour unaffected.
"Taare dikhte hain (I saw stars)," the cop laughingly told his colleagues as soon as he recovered from the ordeal.
