External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is a bit of an online star. Fact is, that she is the most followed woman leader in the world on Twitter. No mean feat, if you ask us.

Her social media popularity is a result of her promptness in handling distress calls addressed to her, often by Indians stuck in difficult situations overseas. Swaraj doesn't shy away from resolving 'small' problems such as passport woes, and her Tweets and comments are often laced with wit. Swaraj's online presence is a great example of technology's boon that enables citizens to directly interact with their elected leaders and get effective help within hours.
