After many teasers and trailers, Xiaomi has launched their first Virtual Reality headset in China. But this is a just a variant of a Google cardboard and not something in the lines of DayDream VR standards.
Earlier it was rumored that Xiaomi will be launching a VR headset compatible with Google DayDream standards.
The company has started taking Beta registrations for the same. It has not specified the price of the VR headset at the moment.
The VR headset features a Zipper and it is made with lycra fabric. The best feature of the VR headset is that it can accomodate phone from the size of 4.7-inche to 5.7 inch. The company has kept the front of the headset open for better cooling.
The Mi VR headset has a pair of anti-glare glasses for viewing as well as a metal button on the top for the VR actions.
Xiaomi has used special pads to avoid pressing of the home and back buttons as well. The VR headset weighs at 207.8 grams.
The size of the headset is 201 x 107 x 99 mm. The company is releasing VR headset in some graffiti design editions as well.
Xiaomi has partnered with several content providers as well for the VR headset.
