The trailer of Nitya Mehra's Sidharth Malhotra-Katrina Kaif starrer Baar Baar Dekho is out and the film seems like a love story with a time-travel angle thrown in.
While not much is clear as to how the film will approach the subject of time-travel, usually a laboriously complex narrative device (perhaps best handled by Woody Allen in Midnight In Paris) -- what we do know is that Sidharth's character, Jai, finds himself waking up in an alternate reality of sorts and only he seems to be aware of the time discrepancy.
Katrina is especially refreshing and shows some genuine comic timing while the two, who have never done a film together before, look gorgeous together and share a crackling chemistry.
Especially stunning are the film's locations -- Baar Baar Dekho has been largely shot in Glasgow, Scotland with some portions in the beautiful island of Krabi in Thailand.
The ensuing variation in the film's colour palette gives it a unique appeal.
Eventually, Baar Baar Dekho seems to fall in traditional Bollywood territory where love should be placed above everything, hinting at the extent people will go to fix a love story gone awry.
Setting deeply unrealistic standards about love is a major contribution Bollywood has made to the society.
Since the trailer is on Eros Now, you'll have to head here to see it.
