Lenovo Launches Vibe K5 Note Centered Around VR And Audio Experience

The company emphasizes on VR and gaming experience with the smartphone.

Lenovo today launched their mid-range smartphone Vibe K5 Note in India which will come with Dolby Atmos sound technology built in. The phone is starting from ₹11999.

The company has produced a great desined with a curved edges. Vibe K5 Note sports a standard 5.5 HD display. Under the hood, it sports a MediaTek Helio P10 processor with 3 GB or 4 GB RAM . MediaTek is the leading supplier in the Indian market with 32% share according to a report by Counterpoint research.

The phone will be running on Android 6.0 It with Vibe UI on top. The phone will have 3500 mAh of battery. The fingerprint sensor has multiple functions such as opening an app or clikcing a selfie apart from the unlocking.

Lenovo also displayed the Ant VR headset with theatremax technolgy. The company claims that it will turn any content into immersive VR experience. It also showed a remote control for VR headset which lets you browse the phone and even act as a gaming controller. During the Lenovo Vibe K4 note the VR headset were given to the consumer for free.

It is also tying up with Amkette to give an option of an Android gamepad to the consumers.

The company is offering multiple accounts on one phone as a security feature. Users can use two WhatsApp accounts on the phone as a result. Xiaomi's new operating system MIUI 8 also offers similar function.

The phone will be available on Flipkart exclusively from August 3. The 3 GB RAM varant will be priced at ₹11999 and the 4 GB RAM variant will be priced at ₹13499. The VR+Controller is priced at ₹999 and VR + Gamepad bunlde is priced at ₹1999 at the launch.

Lenovo also upgraded Vibe K5 Plus with a 3 GB RAM, 128 GB expandable storage with a new UI. The price of the phone is ₹8499.

The company is ranked 4th in terms of smartphone shipments in India. This also includes all the Moto products being sold. Moto G4 series which will be a competitor to Vibe K5 note has done great from the company. Moto G4 Plus 32 edition is the most sold phone in the range of $150-200 for Q2.
