WhatsApp has been hiding a lot of Easter eggs these days. A few days ago it was discovered that the messenger has a secret font called FixedSys. Now they have released an emoji to honor the upcoming Olympics in Rio.
If you are an Android user you can access the emoji under the soccer menu. The Olympic emoji is also available on the web version.
However, it is a bit tricky to access the emoji from an iPhone. Either you have to copy the emoji from a friend or enter this sequence of symbols ◯◯◯◯◯. Once you paste the sequence it will automatically turn into the Olympic rings.
WhatsApp for iOS has now been updated with bigger emojis. If the user posts a single emoji it will be shown in a bigger size like the red heart emoji.
The app has also added the zoom in and zoom out feature for video recordings. By sliding the finger up and down user can zoom in or zoom out. The recording will be stopped while zoom action is taking place.
Another functionality added in the iOS app is that user can select multiple chats in one go and delete them, archive them or mark them as read.

WhatsApp's Android beta version was also updated with a couple of features. The newest version introduced the callback and the voicemail in the app. WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum said in June that the Facebook-owned messenger is no handling over 100 million calls per day.
A few days ago, Facebook messenger joined WhatsApp in an elite club by crossing 1 billion active users per month.
