The disciplinary panel of the National Anti-Doping Agency's (NADA) hearing on dope-tainted wrestler Narsingh Yadav has been concluded and will pronounce its verdict over the weekend. Following the conclusion of the two-day hearing, NADA's lawyer said that Yadav had not been able to provide substantial evidence to justify his claims of conspiracy behind his positive dope test.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee gave Prime Minister Narendra Modi about 30 letters during their meeting in Delhi on Wednesday. Reportedly, the letters detailed the different ways in which the state government felt shortchanged by the Centre's 'unilateral undermining of federalism'.

Transgender identity should no longer be classified as a mental disorder in a World Health Organisation list of diseases, said a recent study presented in Mexico. Violence and social rejection are the cause of mental distress and impairment among transgender people, not their gender identity, the study said.
