Prisma App Now Officially Launched On Android

Popular camera filter app Prisma is now officially available on the Google Play Store.

Last month, Russian camera filter app Prisma took the world by storm by turning the mundane photos into the artwork. After a long wait, the company released the app's Android version officially on the Google Play Store yesterday.

As reported last week, initially Prisma had started registrations for the beta testers of the Android app. But the beta was leaked and due to the heavy load on the servers, Prisma decided to take the beta down. So when users proceeded to use the app they were shown a message "Thank You For Using Beta".

Prisma uses artificial intelligence to turn the photos into artworks. Once you click the photo it is temporarily uploaded to the server and processed there for the filter the user has selected.

Using the app is very simple. You have to click a photo and just select from the filters Prisma offers. You can also increase or decrease the intensity of the filter's effect.

It was the top photo app in the App Store in the US following its release. Currently, it is the top photo app in over 40 countries. Prisma has generated so much interest that till now it has registered 8 million downloads with more than 1.5 users actively using the app daily.

Prisma will work on the phones running Android 4.1 and above. You can get the app from here. Alternatively, the app is now also uploaded on APKMirror.
