Qandeel Baloch Allegedly Shot Dead By Brother In Multan

She had fled home fearing for her life.

Pakistani model and social media starlet Qandeel Baloch was shot dead in Multan on Saturday, reported The Express tribune.

According to reports, the model-turned-actress was allegedly shot dead by her brother for 'honour'.

Baloch, also an internet sensation attracted lot of criticism after her photos and videos with, Ruet-e-Hilal committee member, Mufti Abdul Qawi went viral on social media. She also claimed that she had been getting death threats after the incident and demanded security from the government.

Earlier this week, Baloch was being trolled on social media for appearing in a video, where she is seen twerking. Baloch was an internet sensation of sorts in Pakistan for her irreverence and the risque videos she shot, despite living in an orthodox society.

On 13 July, a man named Aashiq Hussain, claimed that Baloch was married to him and they even had a son.

Soon after the interview spread like a fire all over the news channels, Baloch admitted to have been married once but stated that she got divorced hardly after a year of getting married.

Although, in a orthodox Pakistani society, it was rather bold of the actress to present her views openly on many issues.
