Hoping to continue its successful streak with the Zenfone smartphone series, Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Asus launched its latest flagship phone, the Asus Zenfone 3 at the Computex expo in Taipei today. Asus Zenfone 2, the previous iteration in the series was lauded by critics and consumers alike. Zenfone 3 comes in 3 variants -- Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Ultra.

Asus had launched many variants of the Zenfone 2, such as Zenfone Max and Zenfone Zoom which were launched in India earlier this year. According to the company, there are almost 30 million users of the Zenfone series worldwide.

Asus Zenfone 3 has a 5.5-inch full HD LCD screen, featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and a 4 GB RAM. The phone packs a 16 MP rear camera with OIS and laser auto-focus and an 8 MP front camera. It has a 3000 mAh battery with USB C charging. It is priced at $299.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has a 5.7 inch full HD Super AMOLED display, with an 'always-on' option, much like the competing LG G5 phone. It features a full metal body, has a 23 MP rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and a sapphire glass protection. The camera comes with PDAF and laser auto-focus. The phone runs on Qualcomm 820 and has 6 GB RAM with 128 GB on-board storage. Zenfone 3 Deluxe is priced at $499.

The third variant, Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra features a 6.8-inch full HD phablet. Priced at $479, it runs on Snapdragon 652 and has a 4 GB RAM. Like the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, it also features a 23 MP rear camera. It is not yet clear when the company will bring these products to India.

Asus has also launched a new laptop, the Asus Zenbook 3 that runs on Windows 10 and is thinner than the MacBook air. The laptop is priced at $999 and is equipped with a core i5 processor, has 4 GB RAM, and a 512 GB SSD.
