16-Year-Old Boy Beaten, Stripped, Brutalised In New Delhi, Four Arrested

NEW DELHI -- The 16-year-old boy, who was beaten, stripped and brutalised allegedly by a group of intoxicated men in southwest Delhi's Inderpuri area, on Thursday, demanded the arrest of main culprit after the Delhi police arrested four people in this regard.

"Four people attacked and assaulted me and all of them have been arrested, but Sunny is absconding, he should be nabbed because he is the main convict. He still keeps coming in the colony," the victim told the reporters.

"Sunny told me to stop and sit on a scooty, which I wasn't aware was a stolen one. The number plate of the scooty was broken," he added.

In a shocking video that went viral, the victim is seen begging and screaming as he is stripped and tortured with a beer bottle. His hands and legs were tied and he was thrashed.

"They told me to bring beer and when I refused to do so, they tied my hand and legs and made me sit on the beer bottle. I wasn't aware that they have made a video. I told my mother that they have shot my video," victim told reporters.

The victim also said, that after he was thrashed, he had gone to the nearby railway tracks to commit suicide.

"They rubbed chilly on my private parts, and attacked me with blades. They kept thrashing me but no one came to the rescue. They shut me up in an office and didn't tell my parents where I was," he added.

The assault on Monday was reported only two days later. The boy's family said the victim did not return for a long time after the attack and tried to kill himself.

"My son went to play and there was a scooty which was stolen from someone, he wasn't aware of this. He was badly beaten by a group of people. He was so ashamed of the video tape that he also attempted to commit suicide," victim's father said.

The police said the teen was forced to walk naked in the colony for a while but added that the video is yet to be verified.

The police have filed cases of assault and wrongful confinement against the attackers.
