Bollywood's much-adored director-producer and chat show host Karan Johar threw a starry bash in London as he turned 44 yesterday.

Known for making high-on-mush films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham(2001) and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) along with campus romances like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Student of the Year,(2012) the director shared photographs from a night of partying and drinking with several of his close friends in attendance.

Shah Rukh Khan, one of Johar's closest friends and frequent collaborator joined him with his sons, the freshly graduated Aryan and social media sensation, AbRam.

Also on the coveted guest list were Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, his Ae Dil Hai Mushkil leading man Ranbir Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Shweta Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda, Ayan Mukherji, Aarti Shetty and KJo's bestie Kajal Anand.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma, who also share a friendly equation with Johar, couldn't make it to London. Both were busy with promotions of their respective films, Sarbjit and Sultan.

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, Johar's SOTY proteges probably skipped the party as both of them are busy filming the sequel of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania in Mumbai. But the two made sure they sent him their wishes.

Katrina Kaif, also a close friend of Johar and who has her family in London, wasn't seen in any of the photographs the director shared. It is also evident from the pictures that Johar has lost quite a lot of weight (he went on a health retreat in Austria) but has his charm and humour intact.

Have a look at these pictures.

Can AbRam get any cuter? Yes, we think so.
