Known for her bold roles and endless controversies in Bigg Boss 7, model-turned-Bollywood actress Sofia Hayat seems to have taken the path to inner peace now. Hayat has become a nun, and goes by the name Mother Sofia now, reported several news outlets on Monday.
Her Instagram bio now says:
"Sofia Hayat Gaia Mother Sofia. I am mother of all. The earth was created when I spoke the word. Om. I have awoken to spread the truth. I am the the living truth."
Three years ago, entering as a wild card contestant on the popular show Bigg Boss, Hayat mostly made headlines for her fights with fellow contestants. In a particular case, she even filed a complaint against Armaan Kohli alleging that she was manhandled and subjected to unparliamentary language by him inside the Bigg Boss house.
She also stirred up controversy in November 2014, when Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma scored a historic 264 runs against Sri Lanka, after dedicating a nude photoshoot to him on Twitter. The two had dated for a brief period of time, a couple of years prior, before Hayat ended things.
Two weeks ago, she also posted a video on her Instagram and captioned it:
"The divine mother is here.."
"Mother Sofia", in another video, also thanked a driver for returning a handbag she left it in his car three days prior.
Hayat was in July 2012 named as the "Curvy Icon" by Vogue Italia and in September 2013 made the 81st position of the 'sexiest women in the world' list by UK's FHM magazine.
