Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi's latest flagship offering Mi 5 will go on an open sale in India today. Mi 5 was announced in February at MWC and it was launched in India the next month.
After receiving great response in their flash sales, the company has decided to put the phone in an open sale today at 2 pm on Mi.com. Users would need no registration to grab the phone. Mi 5 is priced at ₹24999.
The phone runs on Snapdragon 820 Qualcomm processor and has 3GB of RAM. It has 32 GB of internal storage which is not expandable. It has a 5.15-inch full-HD screen and a 3,000 mAh of battery packed with it, which can be charged via Qualcomm quick charging as well.
Mi 5 also has front fingerprint sensor which can be used for unlocking the phone. The flagship phone has a 16 MP camera at the back, which has a 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology. It also has a front camera of 4 MP. The phone runs on MIUI based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.
Apart from this phone, Xiapomi's other offering -- Redmi Note 3 -- will also be on open sale tomorrow. Redmi Note 3 is a 5.5 inch dual SIM phone which runs Qualcomm 650 processor. It has two variants of 16 GB storage - 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage -3 GB of RAM priced at ₹9999 and ₹11999.
Xiaomi recently launched a smartwatch in China to track kids with in-built GPS, WiFi, GLONASS and an in-built SIM card.
