A smiling Kangana Ranaut, currently at the centre of a raging controversy over her personal life, was resplendent in a blue-grey off-shoulder dress at the 63rd National Film Awards held in the national capital's Vigyan Bhawan on Tuesday, attended by a galaxy of Bollywood's most talented stars.
Minister of Information and Broadcasting Arun Jaitley addressed the function, and the awards were presented by President Pranab Mukherjee. Actor Manoj Kumar, a moving sight in a wheelchair and wearing a headband with an image of Sai Baba printed on it, received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
Kangana won the Best Actress award for her role in Tanu Wed Manu Returns, making this her third national award. The ecstatic Queen star said that this award made for "the best birthday gift especially since Mr Bachchan is the best actor with me". Amitabh has won four national awards, his first being in 1990 for Agneepath.
