WATCH: 'Game Of Thrones' Theme Sounds Ethereal On Tablas

This Tabla Cover Of The 'Game Of Thrones' Theme Is Perfect

On the day the sixth season of Game Of Thrones begins airing across the world, yet another unique version of the show's theme music has hit the interwebs.

Karan Chitra Deshmukh, a Mumbai-based percussionist, has uploaded a video of himself playing the iconic theme, composed by Ramin Djawadi, on multiple tablas that have been tuned to different notes.

Utilising nine dayans (the main drum, usually played by one's dominant hand) and one bayan (the low-pitched drum), Deshmukh uses a version of what is generally known as a tabla tarang to play the familiar theme effortlessly, without missing a beat.

In India, Game Of Thrones S06E01 can be watched uncensored on Hotstar.
