Drunk Men Attack Foreigners, Tear Woman Tourist's Clothes Off In Ajmer

Four foreigners were allegedly attacked and molested by a group of drunk people in Ajmer, Rajasthan on Monday.

According to the Hindustan Times, the tourists, all between the age of 35 to 40, had checked into a a hotel in Pushkar, two days ago.

Two women in the group are from Spain and Turkey, and one man is from the United States, according to the police. The nationality of the fourth foreigner is not yet known.

On Monday afternoon, they rented two bikes to explore the Aravalli hills and other places frequented by tourists.

"They came from Pushkar. At around 5 pm, they were attacked by some men, who were consuming liquor. One of the drunk men even tried to hold hands of one of the tourists... One person got injured," Superintendent of Police Nitin Deep told ANI.

"They also molested and tore the clothes of a woman in the group," Additional Superintendent of Police Avinash Kumar told PTI.

The miscreants later fled the spot when the woman reportedly called up the owner of the hotel they were staying in. The owner took the couple to a hospital in Ajmer.

A case of molestation has been registered and the police has launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants who are still at large.

The victims have not registered any complaint.
