The West Indies cricket team scored an emphatic last-over victory over England to become the World T20 champions for the record second time. But amid all the celebrations, West Indian captain Darren Sammy posted an emotional video on Facebook revealing the trouble West Indian cricketers allegedly faced from the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

In the video, Sammy congratulated the U-19 team who won the world cup last month and the women's team who won the women's T20 world cup yesterday afternoon. He thanked all the players, staff members and fans for supporting the team. "I may be victimized but it is about time somebody see real, true West Indians. People are painting us as money-grabbing cricketers", Sammy said.

Earlier in the post-match presentation, Sammy alleged that the team received no support from WICB. Even the jerseys that were printed in Kolkata was sponsored by the team manager. "People were wondering if we would play this tournament, we had issues with the board, Mark Nicholas called us players with no brain. But all of us came together, these 15 men put adversity aside, play this type of cricket in front of such passionate fans. It was tremendous. I want to thank the coaching team, Phil Simmons," he said.

"The country's cricket is not in right hands. We have not got a telephone call from any of the WICB officials or directors. That's not a good thing. We know that they did not want or believe that we could win this tournament. It was basically us against them. Even the BCCI does more for us," said West Indian cricketer Dwayne Bravo in a post-match interview with Star Sports. Bravo, Gayle, and Sammy are amongst a few who are not selected in the West Indian squad for their next tour.

Earlier West Indies team were set to chase 156 runs in 20 overs against England. They lost three early wicket's but Marlon Samuals' brilliant innings of 85* held them togather. The caribbians needed 19 runs of the last over of Ben Stokes and Carlos Brathwaite's 6,6,6,6 of first 4 balls sealed the deal for them with 4 wickets left.

Marlon Samuals was delcared the player of the match for his performance in the Final while India's Virat Kohli was declared the player of the tournament.
