iPhone SE To Be Available In India From 8 April At ₹39,000

Apple launched the smaller 4-inch version of the iPhone yesterday at an event held at Cupertino. iPhone SE is Apple's attempt to bring smaller phones into the market due to the high demand of their older 4-inch phones.

iPhone 5 SE runs on the Apple A9 chip with M9 motion co-processor, supporting hands-free Siri commands. The phone has a 12 MP iSight rear camera. It has the focus pixel technology for better focus and tone mapping as well. The camera supports live photos and 4K video recording as well like iPhone 6s and 6s plus cameras.

The front camera of iPhone SE has retina flash to get better results in selfies. It also has the TouchID fingerprint sensor to support Apple pay. The phone has faster LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity compared to the previous 4-inch phone iPhone 5s of Apple. Apart from that "The most powerful 4-inch" phone as dubbed by Apple has NFC radio support and Bluetooth 4.2.

The phone will be available from 8 April in India starting ₹39,000. They will be sold at Redington retail outlets across the country. Apple will also have iPhone SE accessories for sale in India such as leather cases starting from ₹2,700. iPhone docks will be available too at ₹3,500. iPhone SE is available in silver, space grey, gold and rose gold.

Apple also announced the new iPad Pro which is a smaller 9.7-inch version of the original iPad pro launched last year. This iPad pro has similar specs while 3D touch is missing and it weighs less than 500 grams. It also has a 12 Mp iSight camera and four digital audio speakers.

The iPad pro will be available in India from early April with 32 GB version costing ₹49990 and 64 GB version costing ₹61,900. In accompanying accessories ₹8,600 and the smart keyboard will set you back ₹13,900. It comes with 4 metallic finish colours namely silver, space grey, gold and rose gold.

The tech giants unveiled new woven nylon watch bands and reduced the Apple watch price to $299. And in other updates iOS 9.3 with night shift mode, password protected notes and personalized news topics as major features was launched and made available to download. Apple's CEO Tim Cook also said that the next event will be held at the new spaceship campus of Apple.
