A cab driver, employed by a Gurgaon company to drop its employees on a regular basis, allegedly raped a 35-year-old woman executive repeatedly over the course of two years. Harish Chauhan was entrusted with the responsibility of dropping employees, including the woman complainant, home on several occasions. He allegedly abused the trust by blackmailing and raping the woman 10 times since 2014.

According to a Hindustan Times report, the woman was first raped by Chauhan when he offered her water that was laced with sedatives. Once she fell unconscious, he allegedly raped her and took obscene photos and videos of her. He then allegedly threatened to upload these to social networking sites, as well as send them to her husband. The woman has two children.

She has alleged in her complaint that she was scared of his threats, and was subsequently raped several more times until she finally mustered courage to complaint to the cops. The Gurgaon police arrested Chauhan yesterday from Kasan village in Manesar, and he has been sent to judicial custody.
