WATCH: Sayani Gupta Stars In Short Film That (Supposedly) Celebrates 'Quirky' Women

Anurag Kashyap's Sister Directs This Short Film Celebrating 'Quirky' Women

Margarita, With A Straw (2015) actress Sayani Gupta stars in the short Call Waiting made by Anubhuti Kashyap, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's sister, that was released online on Tuesday.

The actress, who will be seen in Maneesh Sharma's Fan soon alongside Shah Rukh Khan, plays a girl agonising over why a romantic prospect hasn't called her back yet. As she travels to work, her internal monologue tries to come up with reasons as to why he hasn't contacted her yet, while occasionally drifting into tangents.

The description claims that the idea behind this video, made by an all-women crew, is to "celebrate their quirk" — aside from being an advertisement (or the more palatable "branded content") for a mobile phone brand.

Do you think it succeeds?
