Meet The Elephant From Tamil Nadu That Can Play A Mouth Organ And Shake A Leg Too

Not to toot her own trumpet, but temple elephant Lakshmi has a special musical gift that might make other elephants feel a little, irrelephant: This 14-year-old has been attracting a lot of attention at a 48-day elephant rejuvenation camp by elegantly playing a mouth organ. What’s more, she can also break into a pretty groove to her own tunes, at the drop of a command from her mahout.

This musical elephant has won the hearts of visitors at the camp. A footage of her playing the mouth organ and boogieing to it has gone viral on social media.

The camp that started on 7 February is hosting over 30 elephants, and is situated in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu.
